How to buy Prescription Sunglasses

It's easy to buy prescription sunglasses from our Glasses and Prescription Sunglasses ranges - follow the Step by Step guide below to see just how simple it is.

Our Prescription Sunglasses area includes specially selected large frames unique to this category that will accept a prescription, as well as tinted Glasses that are also found in the Glasses area of our website - here we show you how they look with a tint to make it easier for you to  decide if you fancy them as sunglasses!

Remember, all our glasses in the Glasses section can be turned into prescription sunglasses!

Step 1:

Choose any pair of glasses from our ranges for Glasses or Prescription Sunglasses. Examples:

 bz335

Raimundo Scaasi Vicky - with Brown tint

Sakura San - with G15 tint

Nayohmi Gwen - with Brown tint

Aviator Toggle Gold - with G15 tint

Step 2:

Choose your lens purpose - most people use Prescription Sunglasses for their Distance vision, but if you want them to read outside in the sunshine, choose Reading.

Step 3:

Choose your lens thickness. Please note we do not supply ultra ultra thin lenses with a tint.

Step 4:

Choose Lens Colour - our TINT colours of Grey, Black, G15 (Grey/Green) and Brown are popular and safe for your eyes. We've chosen this selection not only for their ability to perform well as sunglasses, but to also maximise your perception of colour. The most neutral tint that leaves colours the way they appear in real life is the Grey tint. Our intensity of tint is an 85% sunglasses tint with 15% Light Transmission Factor - we've selected this tint intensity as the best combination for optimal performance as sunglasses whilst allowing sufficient light through in order to see.

We provide UV coating as standard with all tints - UV is invisible, so a UV coat gives you added peace of mind that your eyes are protected from both visible light glare as well as potentially damaging ultra-violet radiation.

Choose POLARISED lenses if you want higher performance sunglasses that block unwanted glare from highly reflective surfaces like water and snow. If you are perfectly content with your glasses for all round use, choose SUN REACTIVE lenses that darken automatically when in the sun and lighten when indoors.

Step 5:

Coating options - the coating options for the lenses chosen will be shown here. Select anti-reflective coating to minimise lens reflections or select uncoated if you are happy with nothing extra.

You can check the lens choices you have made in your shopping basket where the total lens price is shown including the additional cost of the tint selected.

That's it - you are ready to order your prescription sunglasses!
